Sports in Pakistan, a leading sports organization, organized its
flagship event, Pinktober, in support of the battle against cancer.
This remarkable initiative aims to raise funds for the renowned
Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, serving as a beacon of hope
for those affected by cancer throughout Pakistan.
Cancer knows no boundaries and affects individuals from all walks of
life. In recognition of this universal challenge, Sports in Pakistan
has taken up the mantle by organizing the Pinktober event. Through
this event, we aim to bring together individuals, communities, and
sports enthusiasts alike, fostering unity and contributing towards
this worthy cause.
One of the highlight activities of the Pinktober event is the Annual
Pinktober 20K Ride 10K Run and 5K Walk, which has been successfully
organized for the past few years. This event not only promotes
physical fitness and well-being but also serves as a platform to raise
awareness and funds for cancer research and treatment.
Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center is the
primary beneficiary of the proceeds from our Pinktober events. With
the collective efforts of participants and supporters, our goal this
year is to raise 15 million Rupees. These funds will be dedicated to
the construction of a mammography Room at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial
Cancer Hospital, enabling enhanced diagnostic capabilities, and
providing vital support to breast cancer patients.
Shoaib Nizami, CEO of Sports in Pakistan, expressed his enthusiasm for
the Pinktober event, stating, “We are honored to organize Pinktober
and contribute to the fight against cancer. This event unites people
from all walks of life, transcending borders, and boundaries. I urge
everyone to join us in this noble pursuit, as together we can make a
significant impact and bring hope to those battling cancer.”
Sports in Pakistan invites all members of the media to attend and
cover the Pinktober event. Your support in spreading awareness and
highlighting the importance of early detection and treatment in the
fight against cancer is invaluable.
